The Undecided declaration of lock down due to the spread of Covid-19 Pandemic led to the closure of schools. The main concern of everyone was to prevent the spread of disease. But nothing was in human hands and control. It even spread far and wide, cities to villages, from person to person, showing clearly the impact of globalization on the whole world.
Though all of us were victims of the disaster, in one way or the other, education suffered the most. To same extend the weaker students got the golden opportunity to be promoted to the next class without the final exam. The official formalities were taken care for promotion yet the existing norms of mass promotion took the precedence. The far reaching impact of it will surely reflect on the society in one form or the other . Though with hope we wanted till mid June for school to re-open, it wasn’t possible. Seeing the reality, parents meeting was called to get feedback, suggestions and opinions. Most of the parents were reluctant to send their wards to school and preferred to wait for some more time.
By the end of June bridge course were started, Whatsapp groups were formed and notes were shared. By the first week of July students were connected on online forms through Google meet with the support and co- operation of Campus Tech. Thanks to technology a lot of things happened on online mode. A good percentage of students become part of regular classes. Parents were very cooperative. The primary students still continue to have online classes.
With a lot of apprehension the school re-opened for Std. 10 with parents support, consent and cooperation and a written note of responsibility. Slowly the 8 and 9th and then the 6, 7 and now 5 to 10 students come on a regular bases to school. We take utmost care in cleaning and sanitising the school and its premises. We also educate the children on the importance of self care encourage to use sanitizer and masks all through the day. It is wonderful to see our children back to school.
We pray to God daily to protect us from all harm a dangers and keep us safe and sound. We do our part, leave the rest to the will of God who sees knows and controls all things.
